I'm solidifying my order for next spring. I want a white apricot and the only one I can find that anyone at all has said they grew and got delicious fruit from is "Canadian White". I am hoping that is the same as Canadian White Blenheim. I can't find any Canadian White.

I'm open to any suggestions for white apricots. Mostly what I am hearing is that trees never arrived, or that trees never set fruit. A couple of varieties were called bland.

The whites are from colder climates, so I hope one will do well for me. I'd like to give them a try, but here is no point in growing a mediocre tasting fruit, or worse, growing a tree that won't set fruit.

I have a dozen or so white apricots. They all take their time fruiting. So far the only one I really like is Shekar Pareh, and it is also a very beautiful fruit and very free from brown rot. The downside is the tree is incredibly vigorous and produces millions of little shoots, and it took me several years before I figured out that it needed major shoot thinning all through the summer. Genetically it is very unusual, the leaves don't even look like ordinary apricot leaves. I have many odd apricots including the Hunza 'cots and they all look nearly identical as trees.. except Shekar Pareh.
