Here are two must-read books for tree lovers:

The Hidden Life of Trees, by Peter Wohlleben: nonfiction; fascinating information on how trees communicate and live their lives  

The Overstory, by Pulitzer Prize winning author Richard Powers: fiction

Both books made the New York Times Bestseller list.

Thank you GH for the recommendation.

I read The Hidden Life of Trees a while back.  I'm not sure I believed everything but I did enjoy it.

I looked it up on Libby, the public library e-book and audio-book app.  It wasn't in the Vancouver library, but they had another of Wohleben's books, The Secret Wisdom of Nature, as an audio book.  I'll listen to that.
