Teasel stems for mason bees

Is anyone interested in teasel stems for mason bees? I have a bunch of teasel growing in my backyard and I always cut some for mason bee tubes, but I have WAY more than I need. Does anyone want some? It is a bit of work to gather it so I wouldn't mind trading for something I could use, such as berry plants, large plastic pots, some tasty fruit, or ??? I could bring it to the All About Fruit show in the fall. It will look something like this:

When cut & bundled they look something like this:

When the bees have filled them, they look like this:

(the ones that are in backward are what I used to hold the cleaned cocoons)

The mason bees like a certain size of stem but other bees will use some of the larger & smaller ones.

Let me know if you are interested in these, otherwise I will just let them rot.

I'd like some, even better with a couple with bees in them.

I should have some of my favorite black currants or perhaps a rooted morus nigra cultivar mulberry to trade.

OK I will cut them once they finish blooming, which will be in 3 weeks or so.

Teasel is great for making mason bee homes.

I am just reluctant to trade because it's kind of a bonding experience to find the teasel and make the bee homes with my kids.

I was out in my "teasel forest" tonight and it looks like I have probably 200 plants. Each plant has 3-5 usable stems. So somewhere between 600 and 1000 stems in total. I'll be cutting them all down in mid-July.

These kind of plant stems are actually what the owner of Crown bees most recommends for people trying to increase their mason or other solitary bee population.

Yes they certainly work well for me. They are kind of a pain to bundle though since they are different lengths and also slightly tapered.

I finished cutting them up, I have 7 garbage bags of stems. I plan to give some out at work, but I haven't figured out what to do with the rest. Any ideas? My main goal is to use them to help out native bees in this area (Cascadia).

You could take them to the ALL about fruit show.

But doesn't the HOS sell the paper tubes there? I don't want to damage their sales.
