One of our most knowledgeable posters on this site just let me know about someone spamming. By looking, I found another and was able to delete both. Please let us moderators know if you see it so it won't be encouraged. We can delete SPAM so people won't see profit in posting it.

THanks,

Saw something that looked like spam, but wasn't sure.  From now on I'll let you know and you can decide.

Thanks for bringing this up.  And thanks to whomever let you know in the first place.

They're getting sneakier.  They pretended to thank me for stopping SPAM, while sneaking SPAM in!

John,

What kind of spam are we talking about?  Is it spam that is going to the Forum, or spam that's being sent directly to Forum members?  Is it on any particular topic?

Hopefully, most members of the Forum are sufficiently internet savvy to recognize spamarrhea when they see it.  We're thankful to have the moderators looking out for us and certainly appreciate it.

Reinettes.

The most common is to pretend to make a comment about growing food, with a blue link. The link has nothing to do with fruit. It's about selling cheap jewelry or something else.
Thanks for helping.

Gee, John,...

I don't yet have enough cheap jewelry.  How can you send them away?  Under the current Covid-19 shutdown, I'm trying to accumulate as much cubic zirconium and Sterling Pewter as possible....

As soon as the shutdowns are lifted, I'm gonna be out there bartering my "goods" for a really nice 1963 Cadillac Coupe de Ville.  Gosh I miss the one I had back in the '80s.  Of all the old vehicles that I ever drove, that was my favorite!  It was my home-away-from-home.

By the way,... a friend of mine has a fool-proof investment opportunity in UV light intravenous injections.  I think that you should really get in on the ground-floor of this one:  There's no way that we can lose! Wink
