Possum(s) nightly raid my feijoa bush. Some of the fruit ends up hollowed out,

but still attached to the branch. Then the hollow fruit half-filled with water from

Sunday night's showers. Quite the natural phenomenon.

Larry, it shows that all creatures can have a purpose. Smile  I collect the finely ground soil from mole hills to fill my raised beds.  I have a lot of big mole hills.  Unlike the rest of my soil, it is not chunky and difficult to mix.  I just wish I could train them to stay away from my vegetable beds and not make vole tunnels to tree roots.

Do you have pollenizing feijoa varieties?  I have one bush that hasn't bloomed yet.  Maybe next year.  Deer don't eat it, which is nice.  I have not found a purpose for deer, yet.

I haven't found a good purpose for possums.

I hand-pollinate my single feijoa bush. Some bushes take years and years to mature.
