Just found out the 2020 Propagation Fair has been cancelled. Super Bummer!
Last year in 2019 I missed the Propagation Fair because I wasn't on the newsletter, and found out a week later I missed the date. Now the event is cancelled for 2020, so I may have to wait a third year to get a new scion I can graft.
Q: Are there any local options near Salem or Portland where I can get scions before it's too late? Please, let me know if anyone is distributing scions nearby, and how I can coordinate to meet them.
I live in Beaverton/Aloha area, and I would love to meet up with anyone willing to share/sell scions, or grafting supplies.
Really had my heart set on acquiring Northern Spy, or possibly another uncommon apple variety that has a good sweet flavor. I grow Sweet 16 and Gravenstein on a pair of young dwarf trees in my front yard. I grow them mainly for fun as a hobby, and I'm hoping to get fruit eventually.
I am willing to pay a donation or membership dues if anyone can help provide services for me. I would love to have help with grafting this year (if I can get a scion or two), and will listen to any sage advice I can learn from.
Q: How many more weeks can Apple trees wait in our area before they will refuse a graft?
Q: Does anybody recommend any online retailers to quickly ship single scions?
Too bad the Big Day had to be cancelled this year. One of the only events I'm willing to wake up early for to wait in line for hours in the bitter cold. Ha!

Hopefully seeing the HOS' new roadmap they just uploaded an hour ago will answer most of the quoted first question.
Fruit trees are able to be grafted even a month after being in bloom, and apples are not even there yet.
