I have a delicious green plum ripening now. I was told it was a green gage when I bought it but isn't this too early for green gage to ripen in Vancouver, WA? Seems like a European type, cling stone. Any ideas? ( Bought a pear at the same time ...was told it was a comice...but it ripens in Aug so I don't think so.) Thanks.

THis is definitely an early year, as I posted about a while back. While I was biking through FOrest Grove, I noticed European plums that were ripe, so they could be Green Gauge.

I have no basis for telling you what they are but I'm willing to taste several and say some stuff ![]()
Are they completely cling stone?
