Have been inspired by the late Lon Rombough to do some grape breeding, and wondered if anyone else in the PNW has taken a try at it. Would like to talk about what has worked and what hasn't. Last summer wasn't much for grapes. Let us hope we get some heat and sunshine in 2012.
My focus has been on the Muscat/Riesling flavor grapes that make a good slightly sweet white wine, but have some other odd things as well.

Hello, not sure about "breeding" grape clear understanding. Are you talking about changing variety by grafting ?

No. Breeding means inventing new kinds of , in this case, grapes, by making new combinations of pollen, etc. It might make a new flavor, disease resistance, etc., by combining positive aspects of other known varieties.
