I just harvested my first Aronia berries here in Mt and my wife made syrup with them. I was totally amazed with their flavor! Anybody else like/dislike them?

We like them here in jam, syrup, juice. I snack on them frozen too. The astringency is a bit much for some, but the biggest problem most people have is in waiting until they are ripe -- pick when plump and soft with a little juice coming out! The berries will be fully black 4-6 weeks before they are ripe, so don't take ripening clues like from blueberries or blackberries...

I make a fruit shake out of aronias and orange juice, then eat the whole thing. I think it's fantastic. My wife also makes a distinctive jam out of aronia.

Dwarf aronia thrives without any watering in my sidewalk strip. I think the flavor may suffer though.
