I really want to grow apples, and have fruit as soon as possible. so I think I will get semi-dwarf trees. but what vareties will bear fruit earliest? also which seedless grapes have yall found most productive? and what company would you recomed?

For grapes try Canadice, Himrod, Interlaken.
For apples you should try Fuji (sweet), Ashley (disease resistant), Jonagold (aromatic).

I kwould suggest you NOT select semi-dwarf but think about what size you want your tree to be when mature. Then ask for that size of tree and they should tell you the name of therootstock. I the seller cannot give you a specific name jthen do not buy from lthem. Semi-dwdarf can give you a tree up to 30 feet.
In general the more dwarfing the rootlstock the faster it will fruit, example M.9 - 3 years.
Learn about rootstock and tree size BEFORE purchase of any tree.
As for purchase of berry plants from you nurseries, I suggest local nurseries becasue the plants are already aclimated to your envoronment.
Best of growing
