I espalier apples and pears. In the past I have been able to purchase vices from Oregon Wire Products Company in NE Portland. I don't know who the manufacturer is but the no. on the vice itself is: 5056V and there is a small, fancy "R" in the bottom left-hand corner. Does anyone have a suggestion as to where I can buy these things? I am rather desperate for them and I am completely out. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

The wire vice you are speaking of is manufactured by the Ningbo Manufacturing Company in China. I don't know who carries this product in Oregon, but it can be purchased from : http://www.orchardvalleysupply.com
Look under "fasteners". The cost is $1.60 each.
