
I was out of town while all of my kaki ripened this year, some for the first time 🙁
Anybody scored some good persimmons recently? I'm seeking eye-witness reports, not just general recommendations for where to look.
I can still order Jiro from Weee! , but wondering if there are better options.
Bonus points for treated astringent kaki like Rojo Brillante or the like, that are cheats, so can be eaten crunchy even though they are normally astringent.

Thanks. I bought a container of Fuyu (Jiro) from Costco, and admit to not looking at the price. That's out of character.
The local produce store has small ones, and small Hachiya, for $3/lb. Apparently Winco has those too. Presumably at a lower price.
I haven't seen treated astringent ones yet though.
