Hi, everyone,
I need your help. I have been working for two years on building a website called home-orchard-apple-trees.com. I have many articles on tree care, but next to nothing about apple cultivars. Please help me rectify this!

I am looking for chatty, personal articles on one cultivar at a time. I would like to know what you love about the tree and its fruit. What are some of the growing challenges? What do you use the apples for? What is the taste and texture? It is best if you write something out first and then you can cut and paste it into the form on my website. Any pictures you have of the tree or the apples from it are very welcome.

I am giving away a signed copy of Michael Phillips' book, The Apple Grower for the best submission each month. You can enter as many articles on different cultivars as you want.

Go http://www.home-orchard-apple-trees.com ... ivars.html to enter your favorite cultivar. Scroll down to find the entry form.

Thanks in advance, I really appreciate it!

I live in Brandon, Manitoba about 1 hour north of the North Dakota border and up here the best apple trees need to tolerate -40 degree weather. Good choices up here are the Morden apple and the Norland tree. Both are hardy for our climate zone and taste delicious.

This month the winner of the book, The Apple Grower, A guide for the Organic Orchardist, signed by the author, Michael Phillips will go to Bill Ragosta for his nice review of Honeycrisp. Take a look at it at http://www.home-orchard-apple-.....crisp.html and you can post comments on that page as well.

I am giving away one of these signed books each month for the best submission for that month. Surely you guys have some apple cultivars that you like?
