Is there any way to bridge a damaged tree trunk on my paw paw seedling tree. The tree is fifteen feet high and the damaged area is about two inches wide at the base and three feet long.

Can't you cut some whips from up in the tree, deleaf them, and do a bridge graft right now? I would recommend covering the whole of the grafted bridge with glue of some sort to conserve all the moisture you can.
