Hello, i’m very new here and know nothing about gardening but really want to learn a new hobby!

My mom was talking about this plum tree that used to grow in front of my grandmother’s house when she was a kid and she sounded so excited about them. I vaguely remember this tree growing fruits, but the tree in her yard now just grows leaves lol. When I asked my Granny about the type of plums that used to grow she said they were “Japanese Yellow Plums” that used to be green and turned yellow when they were ripe (sweet plum).

After researching, I’m thinking they were Brookgold plums. I can’t find the seeds anywhere in stores, so i was thinking i’d go to a farmers market for the seed straight from the fruit?

I’m not sure what i’m doing here outside of TikTok growing advice, so any input or important how to’s are really appreciated!! 🙂
