I attended a local 1-off class on fruit tree pruning and came away with a 1 year old apple tree to grow in a pot. The label says it is a variety called "Sweet Caroline" but I cant find out any more about it on the net. I want to know if its an eater or cooker, if it will keep for a while or not and when to pick it! I can find a picture but no details! Can anyone on here try and help or point me in the right direction to find it? Thanks

Hi, here is soms information,
if you want to know more about it, I might be able to help you.
Sweet Caroline is a dutch apple, with a reallly sweet pink flush.
The parents are golden delicious and mcIntosh, and it has a somewhat dull flavour, because
the appples contain not much acids.
In the Netherland those apples are used to cook, we cook them together with potatoes, ad some little blocks of pigmeat(sowbelly?) , and stew them together, and call it "hete bliksem" (hot lightning, because you easily burn your mouth to the hot apples)
