Can someone say, with experience, what minimum sunlight requirements are for the average fig tree and the average kaki persimmon tree?
I have a few spots remaining in my orchard with sun ranging from 4 to 7 hours of sun during the longest days of the year. I hate to see these spots go to waste and I'd like to put either figs or persimmons there.
Also, Can someone recommend a kaki persimmon variety or appropriate rootstock, that will give near dwarf results? I'm looking for trees no taller than 10 or 12 feet for these spaces.
Lastly, I have heard blueberries can tolerate partial shade. Is this concurrent with your experience?
Many thanks for your replies.

You can get one of the taller blueberries and have a very handsome shrub that will top out at about 8 feet.
As for figs, I've got some coming, but they will be potted and will get more sun that they can handle in the summer and grow lights when they are indoors, so I don't know about limited light.
