I am wondering if squirrels are the culprit in my missing apple and cherry leaves (mostly the new, whole leaves missing) mystery. I don't yet have fruit on these youngish trees. Has anyone else had this problem and/or anyone know of an organic/non-lethal method for control. I suspect the squirrels as I have a ready supply and I've seen them eat maple leaves previously.
I should mention I live in Seattle, so deer are not a possibility.
Thanks in advance.

I live in a wooded area and i see squirrels eating leaf buds in the spring. I did not have a problem with them eating my fruit tree buds though. A different problem I had was with raccoons eating my ripe fruits, but a small home electric fence took care of that. It is something you could try, mine runs on 2 D batteries and has been quite effective.
