Hi,

I'm needing to replace thousands of stolen mason bee tubes, and am looking for a manufacturer from which to purchase 10,000 to 100,000 tubes.

I'm looking for the good ol' 12 inch (or 6 inch), 5/16 inch inner diameter, plastic coated kraft paper tubes that HOS used to sell.

Does anyone know where HOS used to get these?

...or does anyone know what companies manufacture them?

Thanks so much in advance!

Welcome to the forum.  You've come to the right place.

Paramount Tube was the supplier to HOS and the tubes they provided were a custom offering.

ID: 0.312”

Wall: 0.016”

Length: 12.00”

Material: Kraft and Acetate

I think your desired quantity is comparable to what we last ordered at the end of 2018.

Thanks so much for this information!

I can't tell you how relieved I am, and how grateful I am that the forum is up and running.

All the local and regional companies had been dead ends, and I was starting to despair.

Thanks again for your time and attention,

Alexander Bram

I did a Google search and found a couple of companies that sell bulk mason bee tubes/reeds
http://www.wattsbees.com/whole.....e-products
https://masonbeesforsale.com/

Also, I found a guy that uses paper sipsticks from Amazon so maybe you could buy those
Here is his article https://www.honeybeesuite.com/.....raws-ever/
It looks like the company the made sipsticks went out of business but there are LOTS of drinking straw manufacturers.
The standard drinking straw is 1/4" (4/16) but there are some other "standard" sizes that are closer to 5/16.  8mm is almost exactly 5/16".

There are lots of companies that make drinking straws, I am sure some are coated.

Also, I saw some 8mm x 10" paper drinking straws for sale on ebay for just under $500 for 18,000 straws.
