I've been working on a tool for gardeners and orchardists that I'd like to share with you. It's free. Social networking for gardeners.

Basically, if you have used Facebook or Twitter, the idea is to give you as much information about the gardens and orchards in your area as you're currently getting about your "friends" or people you follow on twitter.

So for example, on our thread recently about codling moth, one of the challenges is knowing the timing for when they emerge. Using this tool, you could follow people in your area, but also to the south of you, and get an idea of when codling moth is emerging for them.

It also acts as a sort of "garden log", but I plan to make it show you the items from previous years as you're looking at this years "garden log". So I believe it will really help with those aspects of your garden that deal with timing.

Please give it a try, and tell everyone interested in gardening about it. It's just getting started, but I am going to be continually improving it and plan to make it the best tool for communication about what is happening RIGHT NOW in your area.
