I am looking for Sloes, Prunus spinosa, Blackthorn...I have asked all around at the Milwaukie Farmers Market and no one knows the fruit.
I have a small yard and don't really want to grow the plant myself (the description [url:3oo5caym]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blackthorn[/url:3oo5caym] of the shrub doesn't make it sound very garden worthy).
I'm really just looking to purchase the fruit. Does anyone have some for sale? I'm pretty sure they are out of season by now, however I would love to have a source lined up for next year.
Thanks in advance for any leads!

[quote="lonrom":73n8azq6]I have sloe, and there are still some on the tree, though not a lot. They hang on very late. They aren't terribly large, though, only about a half inch in diameter at best.[/quote:73n8azq6]
I would love to buy or trade (Sloe Gin - if the recipe works, or other things I have preserved) for your sloes. I will send you an email with my contact info!
Thanks for your reply!
