Hello,
I'm in search of fruit tree whips or young trees that are still whispy/trainable. We are hoping to espalier them so whips would be ideal but young bare root trees work too. Looking for apple, pears, and plums. Semi-dwarf preferred. If anyone has something like this or can suggest a resource I would appreciate it.
Thank you,
--Melissa

Melissa, if you are local, HOS has 3 grafting classes on February 23rd, two beginning - one intermediate. I took all 3, to get my feet wet.
Then on March 10, the Fruit Propagation Fair, where you can choose from 100's of varieties of apple and pear scion wood, a lesser amount of stone fruits. Grapes X the numbers , figs, persimmons and others in more limited amounts. All for the cost of admission
Rootstocks of numerous denominations are going to be available for five bucks or less each, (I don't quite remember); to put you newly acquired skills to work.
