Hi,

I have a Royal Blenheim apricot tree that is planted in my backyard in which is starting to break bud right now.  It is late December in zone 9 where I live and it has been very warm with temps reaching into the upper 70's and low 80's during the day.  At night it drops into the low 60's.  I am wondering if I should let the plant continue to sprout leaves or if I should pull them off in the hopes of delaying the process a couple of months.  Please advise.

Thanks.

I have seen many trees bloom at the "wrong" time.  Mostly my apples will occasionally bloom in November or December. I don't do anything.  Sometimes a tiny fruit will be aborted. It has never become a problem.
