Hell, this Royal Anne cherry was pruned by the local deer population. the two leaders reach about 12 feet tall. I fear I may have to eliminate one of them. May I please have some guidance on pruning this tree? Many thanks,

I would just prune the tree to the height that the deer can't bother it. Is it on a rootstock that will grow high enough? It partly depends on the rootstock and how you feel about climbing ladders.
Do birds eat them much? Netting may be hard.

Don’t prune it now, let it fruit …and don’t fall when attempting to harvest...

I’d cut it back in early March of next year, as John described, then fence it… until it’s beyond the immediate reach of your deer. You might also (carefully) spread the main limbs some, which could be tied off to ‘steel fence posts’ used to support protective wire… Or not. Just let it feed the root system this season, then prune while its energy’s stored below for the winter.
