I have flowering pear trees in my yard and I just planted a Bartlett pear tree. Will the flowering pears pollinate (with bees of course) the Bartlett pear? The flowering pears produce numerous inedible little pears from many flowers in the spring, so why should the flower of those pears not suffice as a polllinator for the Bartlett tree?

If the flowering pear blooms at the same time as the fruiting time, it can usually serve as a pollinator. But many ornamental pears bloom earlier than standard fruiting types, making them unsuited to be pollinators.
