So I have a odd cherry on my property. The house was build in 1966. An early photo of the property shows several cherries (and other fruit trees) were put in with a few years of that time. The fruit is almost all white (a cream color) only the slighest light pink blush on a few cherries. The fruits are small, like nickel sized. The tree is also on the small side of things, maybe 18' tall (12" dia trunk) and generally sparce folage. The two other dark cherries next to it are 35-40' tall and produce normal sized cherries with thick folage (so I don't think it's a plant nutrition issue). I picked them last night to keep them from splitting any more than they already have.
I have posted a photo at http://www3.snapfish.com/comcast/fe/l=e ... %22%3A5%7D
But they are paler than that photo seems to show. The color should be some where between cream color and a Post-t note that has been left out in the bright sun for a few weeks.... The pink is not even a overspray of flesh color....
I've looked at the listed varieties in the 'Fruit, Berry and Nut Inventory' and don't see anything that fits.
Any one have any ideas?
Thanks
Chris
