Thanks everyone for a great workshop this past weekend. I learned so so much, and I can't wait until the fall show!
I chip grafted a bud on a rootstock on Saturday, and sadly, all of the leaves have dried up. It's not a problem with watering, because I've been paying attention to that. We did put a T slice in the rootstock before realizing that maybe it wasn't wet enough for that... I was wondering if there is anything that I can do besides watering it that will help the recovery? It's in a spot in the yard where it gets a good amount of sun, not all day, but in the morning and early afternoon. Any tips?
Thanks!
Just a suggestion as ive not seen any other replies, but could removing all the leaves help? That way they wont burden the rest of the scion for nutrients and general recovery.
I've never had successful grafting (only tried once!) but i'd imagine this wouldn't cause the graft to die, and if it's on its way out possibly, then all you can do is try.
Any further corrections to my advice greatly appreciated.
