I am thinking about buying land in South Carolina so I can start an organic fruit and vegetable farm. Does anyone here know of any kind of guide that will give me information on yields and planting distances for fruits, grapes and berries so I can get some idea about how many trees and bushes I will need for each variety and how much land I will have to devote to each variety? I know a lot of this will depend on climate and soil, but I need something that will give me general information so I can get an idea about start-up costs and potential income.
