I have a small nectarine tree that was starved for water for years before we moved in, but now I water it daily and its doing much better each year but the fruit is very small. Is there something I can do to encourage the fruit to get larger or could this be a small strain of nectarine? does the fruit get larger as the tree gets larger? the tree is only about 7 ft tall and 10 feet wide.

thanks, will do. although the fruit is small, its very tasty, so its not so bad. Unfortunately, most of them get eaten by either squirrels or birds, not sure which.
Any tips on preventing the wildlife from eating all the fruit? I don't mind sharing, but they seem to get much more than I do. Do squirrels eat nectarines? who knew?
Those little buggers seem to eat anything and everything they can..
