Manchurian Pear as an interstock?

Hi Guys,
A friend has sent me some dwarfing quince rootstocks but the pear varieties I grow are not compatible with them. I have previously used manchurian pear (P. calleryana) for my rootstocks so can I use this as an interstock? In other words is it compatible with quince?

Thanks
Karl
