Does anyone have any interest in identifying potentially historic apple trees in rural West Multnomah County? It is possible these trees pre-date 1900 and I am reticent to cut them down if the rootstock might be historical or otherwise valuable.

The Fall Fruit Show was the place to get the varieties identified. If they are endangered, you could take scions and have trees grafted in March at the spring scion exchange. At least then the varieties might be saved until they can be identified.
