The usual green tinted, on my browser when there is new material, overlapping the same text in black. I think there has been more separation between what would seem to be the lines of text in that heading area. It is somewhat disconcerting.

Also, within the dropdown for that area, the list of topics (20 newest appears to be the default) no longer presents those with new postings in a highlighted heading. May be related, or technology drifted or by design, but it too bothers me as not what I have been accustomed to seeing.

AND the captcha grab and drag feature for this posting acted rather erratically, needed multiple moves to try to drag the icon it to the circle, it wanted to freeze on the sum of the numbers line.  Hope this is not all my desktop inconsistencies.

I am seeing the same doubled text (below "advanced search" in upper left of page) on a PC.

Had to chase the captcha object around with the mouse also.

Both of these items are still functional with a little extra effort.

Same with me. I only tried this browser and saw both issues you're all describing.

I'm on:

Chromium Version 120.0.6099.224 running on Debian 11 / 32 bit.

Talking about this sort of thing?  I'll bring it to webmaster's attention.  He'd recently made a change to fix one of the "post" buttons not working so maybe this is a result of that, or the underlying original problem.Screenshot-2025-02-06-124005.jpg

The webmaster made a change and it appears to have resolved that problem to me.

Please confirm folks, does it look normal now?

Yes indeed my browsing illustrates normal alignment since the webmaster made that change.

Another aged issue that's not worked for even longer is the 'miss match' of the edit post feature per my screenshot. Nobody should care about the double 'x' as much as the skew of the time records. (eg. see attached)

Do both Xs work, or do you have to click in a particular place to work?

Relieved it's being worked on. The alignment issue seems to be resolved.

But captcha feature has completely disappeared.

No Jafar, I was referring specifically to the revision date of my post which got revised yesterday 5 minutes after February 10, 2025 - 9:14 pm. (note the February 11, 2025 - 5:19 am per picture)

The double x isn't a problem because I'm about the only person often revising my posts because I like to play with the html elements and images. But if you insist then yes that sometimes can't be 'X'ed out without invoking the upper left hand corner escape on the keys of the keyboard.

Text doubling issue resolved here.

This problem was browser independent, as I am on FireFox v135.0

Captcha is gone, advanced math still required to post.

The Captcha had been off for a long time, but the number of spammy memberships and posts started getting a bit out of hand so the Webmaster reinstated.  Recently one of our valued contributors notified of us trouble getting past the Captcha, so we decided this week to turn it off again and manage the noise.

I am seeing that same sort of previous misalignment, or double strike/registration in my PM inbox, at the header of New/Recent Messages. I don't know if it might be symptomatic of any other issue at all, I can deal with it as it sits but wanted to notify the web master incase it needs attention.

I almost failed to notice it, but now see it at the new/recent messages label.

I'm going to let it ride for now.  We already went through some drama with the tool handling of moderator status and such this month.
