The webmaster said it would be OK if I use this forum to try to find someone that would like a "Garden of Eden".

The yard has 20 fruit and nut trees (5 apple, 2 pear, 2 fig, 2 cherry, 2 persimmon, 2 asian pear, 2 plum, 2 chestnuts, 1 loquat) 50 feet pf rasberries, 4 var grape, 2 var of kiwi, raised bed garden, fish pond, flowers, roses, camilias, etc

The house is 1.5 stories, about 1200 sq ft, three bedrooms, large kitchen, new roof, fully insulated, 10,000 sq ft lot, 5 minutes to regional library, 3 parks, community center, bus and max.

Located about 1 mile east of I-205 two blocks south of Stark, in SE Portland (Oregon)

We are asking $175,000

If someone you know would like more information call 503-257-3657

House is not yet listed or advertised anywhere else.

My thanks to you, and our Webmaster! I'm tempted to say, "I'll take it" :D - and if I didn't already have my hands full - would certainly consider it! I will pass on this info to family & friends in Portland. For years I've watched "Jewels and Eden's" fall into the hands of unappreciative owners, wondering how such beautiful orchards could have been connected with those most interested and appreciative of them?
As happy as we are with our place, also dense-packed with everything fruit, several years ago we spent a long day looking over every inch of the last 6+ acres of the old dairy site (with topsoil 3 feet deep!) of an old friend who was moving on. He had been a test-station of sorts for Jim Gilbert (of One Green World) and a repository of the most amazing collection of living goodies I've ever seen... We were too in love with our house (& goodies), so stayed put as the next owners took control. Their purchase had been purely speculative, with subdivision in mind, and I've not wanted to even look at the outcome.
May I encourage all our members whom have added such value beyond description to their homes to please use this forum to give just such a "first option" to those most likely to maintain your living legacy? (and at our Webmaster's discretion) Let's keep it in the Family!

Home Orchard is pretty good enough for me and I like the way you described it. I should have it too but it seems someone comes first. Is there anything else needs to be sold here?
