I have gooseberry and current hard cuttings and I dont know what to do with them. I know that I have to plant them, and i am going to start them inside. But how should I start them? do I simpily stick them in some nice loose dirt and water them?

I believe they should take fairly easily. Gooseberries in Tennessee? I thought it was a peculiarly British fruit, are they popular in the US?

I would put them outside. They are common among rare edibles gardeners . The hipper types.

You want them in partial shade or maybe full shade in TN. They grow new plants very easily. They are plenty hardy once established.
