Checking our Forum logs it was on Tuesday, April 27, 2004 @ 12:58 pm, Steven Reid, our Forum Site Administrator and Home Orchard Society Web-master appears to have come online!

A relative late-comer to the Forum... I hadn't met Steven, but he was soon described as an enthusiastic young man dedicated to our Society and a wonderful asset. After years of my own participation, and finally meeting Steven in person I'm pleased to agree with all I'd been told!

Rarely making an effort to trek to our HOS board meetings, or join the board I've made an effort to answer the questions I can on our forum, and do a little research or asking around on the ones I can't. Participation has blossomed! We've posters and members from across the nation and around the world, and it remains a privilege to contribute as I can.

But I think congratulations of some sort are in order as this Monday, April 27th will be the HOS Online Forum's Five Year Anniversary! So how do you throw a party online?

Still learning the net myself, I'm open to suggestions! And as the forum's apparently in need of near-constant monitoring - gurrr - we've another Forum Moderator, Greg Owen. Along with me, a lot of behind-the-scene correspondence, tweaking and web-work goes on - and it all ends up with Steven.

So Happy Birthday Forum - and Thank You Steven Reid; the Home Orchard Society is a far richer place because of your on-going efforts!
