Even though ‘dormant’ the cells are alive and I suspect, if in slow motion, they immediately begin to coordinate growth, or knit. If not, they'll just sit there in a temporary stasis until warming up to whatever temperature activates growth and eventual ‘sap’ flow. …but the way-ai-ting is the hard -est - part
