Well of the 7 surviving G.214 2nd year trees; 4 have developed swollen knot like areas at the graft union. And 2 days ago the Wickson Crab tree snapped off.
The union itself looks like a mix of bark-y scar tissue with streaks of cambium. There is no heart wood structure at all.
Has anyone else found this in Geneva or other rootstock? An Incompatibility problem???
