Anybody want to grow some red aronia berries? I pressed mine for juice and dried out the remains. They are really easy to grow from seed.
I also grow black aronia (Aronia melanocarpa) which I have in the freezer. I plan to eat those, but could spare some for seeds if you'd like to sprout them.
They are very astringent and most people don't like eating them fresh (thus the name "chokeberry") - but I don't think they're bad. They make good juice for mixing with apple juice, and I like them dried.
They are off the charts in terms of antioxidants etc. They also have beautiful fall foliage. The black berries ripen in July, the reds ripen in late October. They are both native to the east coast.
I live in Camas, but work in Hazel Dell, I could meet at either location. Or I could mail them if you pay for postage.
Let's see if I can post some of my photos:

Hey Dave,I will be there Sunday from like 9:30 am to 2 or 3 pm, whenever it dies down. I'll be mostly at the advice table so Jafar and Jerry, James? and whoever else of you shows up so we can hang out and make fun of each other.
Thanks,
