So usually the required math is pretty simple, but those 2-digit addends can be tricky. Perhaps going to 3 digits would keep us even sharper.
I just noticed that the browser auto-complete list for forms drops down when typing the math answer, turning the event into a possible multiple-choice question!

Hmm, that doesn't sound right. You shouldn't have to do the captcha, or whatever, every time you post.
Has it always been that way for you?

(this was not a complaint, just a little math humor, but since you asked...)
Yes, the captcha appears every time I post.
Like this time, there are three options: preview, cancel, and "Do math to save" (grayed out).
Typing in an incorrect answer keeps the Do math grayed out.
Typing in the correct answer converts the grayed Math to an enabled Submit Reply.
I don't see any other boxes or buttons to bypass that requirement to post using this Firefox 39 browser.

Yeah, the math check is more to make sure that you are a real human than to test your calculus chops
It's just a spam check. And yes, at this time, all standard members of the forum have to do it for a new topic or reply. (that may change in the near future).
Jafar is a moderator and gets to bypass it.
