Not that I know of (Steven?), but what I've done is set up an RSS feed. That essentially sends them to my home page and I can read them there. I think it's a text feed, so if I want to see pictures or reply, I have to actually click through to the site, but it's pretty convenient.

Bummer.
Then is there any way to set up an account so that you don't have to visit the forum *every* time you receive a notification (ie, "no more notifications will be sent until you visit the topic.")?
As it is, the notification setup seems to compel you to visit the forum every time you receive an email, or get kicked to the curb. When I miss one of the notifications I end up not visiting the forum, then not receiveing any further notifications, then when I realize I haven't received anything in a month or so, I end up having to click through all those posts to clear the slate. Plus, I don't necessarily want to visit the forum every time I receive a notification, which can be several times a day.
Any thoughts?

Hmm... so you are subscribed to receive notices whenever there is a new post in the entire forum? And I assume you do want to be notified when there are new forum posts? (This is optional)
I think I may have an idea for a solution, but want to clarify what you want to happen.
Thanks,
Steven

Happy New Year!
"Hmm... so you are subscribed to receive notices whenever there is a new post in the entire forum?"
- My Watched Forums page lists "general forum" and "can posts be emailed directly?"
"And I assume you do want to be notified when there are new forum posts? (This is optional)"
- Absolutely. I'd like to be able to see new posts to existing topics as well as any new topics that get started... but not have to visit the forum every time somone posts anything to any topic. Let me know if you need any further clarification.
- Thanks for your help.

OK, I setup the RSS feed to run through FeedBurner, a widely use stats service (now owned by Google) which will allow you to subscribe to email updates. To signup, go here:
http://feedburner.google.com/fb/a/mailv ... ;loc=en_US
Give it a try and let me know if it works or if you run into problems. This is not tied to your forum account, so logging in/out will have no effect on it.
Thanks,
Steven
