It’s that time of year again--for a fruit tasting trip! Come for a taste on Oct. 25, 2025, from 10 to 4 at the West Side Improvement Club, 4109 West E St., Bremerton, WA 98312. Free admission.
Here’s your chance to sample locally grown fruit from our huge display and find a new favorite. The vast majority of these varieties aren’t available in any store, and some are quite rare. There are also lots of educational displays, trees and supplies for sale, and experts to talk to.
Jean,
If there's any special apples you think you might want to try or get on display via here (our TOC) then brought to Bremerton then I might be able to locate an old contact or two that I have and to further gain access.
I want to hunt down something from them anyways and eventually locate 'Minnewashta' (an early season apple) so that friends of mine in Alaska can try it.
I visit Cle-elum Washington soon for wild cherry scions partly for the same reason and so could combine a possible list of stuff you might really want if you're not too busy to meet me someplace?
Rooney,
Minnewashta is the cultivar name for Zestar! (trademarked name), which can be bought at any number of local nurseries. Shouldn’t be hard to find.
Thank you so much for the offers, but until we can find a bigger venue for our shows, we are in pretty good shape and positively bursting at the seams. We can’t fit any more display tables in the room!
