I am interested in finding two peach varieties that would fill a particular ripening slot. The first would be after my Veteran Peach ripens in Mid to Late Aug. The second would be before my Wenatche-Moorpark apricot ripens in late July or early Aug.
I have done some checking on the OSU and WSU websites and have come up with some possibilities. Does anyone have any experience with the varieties listed below or can you recommend other varieties that might work that are resonably productive and of good quality?
Early-- Harbelle-OSU and WSU but can't find a supplier
Risingstar-WSU
HW 272-WSU
Late--Biscoe--OSU
Improved Elberta-OSU
Black Boy. It produces a burgundy red peach with a floral taste. It is delicious and it ripens around September 20 in Washington County, Oregon.
