Hi gang,
I'm expanding my apple orchard and this winter my project will be grafting 100-200 cider apple trees. I'm trying to line up scion wood sources for a number of varieties. I can get some of them at the scion exchange, and hopefully I can work with Tonia at the arboretum to get a few as well. However, there are still a few varieties that I haven't found a source for. If any of you have the following cider apple varieties in your own orchard and would be willing to share some scion wood, or know where I might find them please let me know.
Dabinette, Stoke Red, Chisel Jersey, Ellis Bitter, Wickson, Somerset Redstreak, Campfield, Brownsnout, Bulmers Norman, Chestnut Crab, Sweet Coppin, Muscadet de Dieppe, Tremletts Bitter, Major, etc.
Also, if anyone has a phone number or email for Sean (Shawn?) please let me know. I wanted to chat with him at the All About Fruit show last weekend but he was tied up doing apple ID while I was there.
Thanks much,
Dan

Hi Dan,
I have a cider orchard, but it is still pretty young so not much scion wood. I can tell you that I got most of my scionwood from Northwest Cider supply. It is based out of Airlie and he will ship the wood to you, though of course it is going to cost. I would not recommend Tremlett's bitter as we do not have true Tremlett's in the U.S. Ours was swapped and is something else (Hence why many call it Geneva bitter). The same is true for foxwhelp in the U.S. I was actually looking to find somerset Redstreak which is how I came across this post. I think it is the only one on the list that I can't seem to find. Fedco seed used to have it, but it appears that they do not anymore.
Hope it helps,
