Has anyone here grown it? I've grown it for a few years. It flowers, but fails to fruit. That happens to many cherry bushes around here, but not to cherry trees. Its latin name is Prinsepia Sinensis. Anyone have better luck with this plant?
Thanks

I've grown it here in Aurora. Several bushes, for at least 15 years, but never got a fruit. It comes from a colder climate and seems to get blossom blast similar to a lot of the cold hardy Prunus, such as P. tomentosa. I wouldn't bother planting it for fruit, though the plant isn't a bad ornamental.

Thanks Lon,
Great info. I won't worry about it so much. You have extensive gardening knowledge.
