I'm looking for a source for bulk D.kaki persimmon rootstocks (50+). Any ideas?

Lawyer Nursery in Olympia Washington has some persimmon, I saw Diospyros lotus listed on their website. I bought some Diospyros viginiana two years ago during their open to the public sale. http://www.lawyernursery.com

Well, that would work out great, but they're prohibited from shipping to California. Figures.

I see Burnt Ridge Nursery has persimmon seedlings to use as rootstock but there is a note in their catalog saying that they also cannot ship to California. Why does California have this restriction?

My guess is because so many persimmons are grown there. But I've never heard of any problems that would motivate this.

I found that all species of persimmon plants (Diospyros spp.) shipped into California must be certified free from persimmon root borer.
