Hello! I just found this forum after much searching. I have gardened for years, but got into fruit trees with the purchase of our home 2 years ago and its accompanying small orchard. I have been pruning for 2 years and feel I have most of the trees in good shape in that regard. Now I am faced with thinning these trees. Is there a home orchard solution for blossom thinning? I can't find any of the commercial solutions for sale anywhere.
All you advice is very appreciated!
Thanks
Shane
NAA and/or Sevin can be sprayed after full bloom to thin apples.
Doc's Bloom Spray Concentrate contains NAA and works quite well on some varieties.
And on some other varieties, it doesn't work all that well.
