It's my first visit here, and I'm looking for help with these two apple varieties.

Idamac is a variety I found in a couple of Bear Creek Nursery catalog before they went out of business, and before I could order a benchgraft. Here's the description from the catalog:

IDAMAC or (DOUBLE DANDY) – In 1978, Garfield Schultz, an esteemed member of the North American Fruit Explorers, created this complex cross of (Red Delicious x Red Rome = Ruby x Crimson Beauty x Melba = Quinte). Beautiful fruit is mottled red over a green background that fades to a salmon color halfway down. Large white lenticels cover all of its oblong-conical shape. Flesh is crisp, juicy, sweet, yet mildly subacid, with a distinct flavor that leaves your taste buds crying for more!

Sounds intriguing, but it seems to have disappeared. I wonder if it has been re-named. I tried searching for 'Double Dandy' and 'Garfield Schultz' as well, but no luck. Anyone here know of it?

Also, I have a benchgraft of 'Fantazja' that I made at the Midwest Fruit Explorers grafting workshop last Spring, and I'd like to do something with it, but I have no idea what the characteristics of this variety are. My space is tight, so I don't want to plant a tree only to find out later that it doesn't have the traits I would want. So, is anyone here familiar with 'Fantazja'?

Thanks.

Fred:

Garfield Shulz is alive and well and still messing with apples. Email me your contact info and I'll ask him to call you.

Thanks Kevin, I've updated my contact information to include my e-mail address. I see now that I had his name misspelled - should be Garfield Shults.
