Hi everyone. New to this forum so be kind to me. Does anyone have any advice on promoting new bark growth on an apple tree that our goats have nibbled off causing the tree to wither. Its a big old apple tree and produces some great crops so we dont want to loose her. any suggestions are greatly welcomed, thanks.

Welcome to the forum. I'm sorry to hear about those darned goats.
Pictures would be very helpful towards offering useful advice.
My sister let goats have their way with several of her apple trees. Some survived and some didn't with no intervention.
It may recover on its own. It may be that you can do some bridge grafts to overcome partial girdling. You may want to reduce some of the canopy while it recovers.
