
I buy these cute little sippers from some guy back East....they can be used for putting cider into them and then giving them to kids, if you want, at your harvest festival.

But more importantly, I have been modifying these plastic sippers that look like apples by poking a couple holes in them near the top, taking off the green cap, putting a picture hanging wire through the holes, coating the outside of the plastic with Tangletrap solution purchased from a local nursery and then putting a codling moth bait on the inside.
(modify the quantities of these ingredients for concocting a gallon of the stuff)

the result? I have a trap that attracts both the apple maggot fly on the outside and the codling moth for the inside......a 2 for 1 trap.
Just an idea.....I personally keep trying the kaolin footies but I would prefer to reduce the codling moth population to the point that they are just not likely to eat their way through regular old foot sox.
