Apple picker needed in Portland, Oregon

Hi,
I have a friend with a large, healthy apple tree in his back yard loaded
with fruit (Gravensteins). He would like to hire an apple picker otherwise it will all come crashing down on his patio. He will pay for the service and also give them apples.

In the Tacoma area I've heard of boyscout troops and church groups picking peoples' apple trees to give the excess fruit to food banks, the tree owner gets to keep a share. Maybe this is an option to look for in Portland area.
